Since Sarah was born, I have been taking lots and lots of her pictures and Iffah. And I wanted to share their snapshots - their everyday pictures - here and blog about them. But still I couldn't find the time. I'm still adjusting myself being a photographer mommy, taking care of my two kids and at the same time running my photography business.

Nadiah Sarah

I've neglected this blog for the longest time...and it's all for the good reason actually;)

Last Feb 14 our baby Nadiah Sarah was born, alhamdulillah. It's such a joy to have a new baby in our life, everyday is a beautiful day. Sarah gives me such comfort and I feel like a new mom again. And best of all I wake up every morning with the happiest feeling eager to greet both my Sarah and Iffah. I just could not describe how happy and touch I am watching them bond as sisters...

I hope to post more pictures of Sarah and her big sis Iffah.
But at the moment here is Sarah at 3 days old :)

Casting Call: And the winner is.....

A VERY BIG THANK YOU for those who have participated in my casting call. I am overwhelmed reading all those entries from the participants. Thank you so much! It was not an easy decision for us to pick the winner for the free session. We have to make another round of selection, getting the finalists to send further descriptions of their ‘little story’. Thank you again for your support sending me all the details for the final round. I really, really appreciate them. *Hugs*

All the stories for the final entries are really, really wonderful! Actually we do get a lot of picnic stories, and how wonderful it is if we get to capture all the families having a lovely time with their children. And not forgetting the clothing selection that you chose for the session, some are truly unique we hope we get to capture your family in the outfits. The locations you chose are great too!!!

I can vividly imagine all the descriptions that you gave. Wouldn’t it be lovely if I get to document all those moments that you describe? Oh how I wish!!! Yet, I can only pick one winner.

So again, it is a tough decision to make the final call. After much thoughts and discussions, all the judges UNANIMOUSLY agree the winner for the casting call is............

Iffah on the last weekend of 2009...

It was a beautiful year...
Surely there were sad times, bad times, trial times...
But we love to remember the good times, happy times, goofy times, great times...
Best of all, we are blessed with another miracle... growing inside my womb
And Iffah is the happiest for mommy is now a WAHM
Last year was also the birth of littlestori photography, that has been long in the dream
Alhamdulillah, we are so grateful for 2009.

Yeay, I've got flowers from someone!

And guess from who?

Last weekend we went out for breakfast. Well, our lilttle girl was not really in the mood for it though. So while we were having breakfast, she told her daddy that she wanted to take a walk outside.
And to my surprise when she's back with my hubby, she gave me those lovely flowers!
I was like SOOOO touched.... and thrill!

And yes, recently Iffah loves to give flowers to her mommy. If not fresh flowers that she picks, she would draw them for me.

Another thing that she loves, loves doing that really tire us us sometime is providing scripts for us. She will tell us things that we must say to her.
LOL!

She'll start with "Mommy, say this.."

And she continues with, among them:

"Oh little darling mommy, you are so cute!

"Why are you sad little baby elephant (or cat, or rabbit, or koala etc)?"
Usually when she gives me sad face, she actually wants her mommy to cuddle and hug her and say I love you.

And one of her favourite request from us is to ask us to act surprise, with big wide happy eyes! And it has to look real! This is especially when she's done with her paintings, writing or other stuff. LOL it's tiring sometime, coz it's not spontaneous but we were asked to say those things. Almost everyday, and now and then, she does this!

One thing I know she's very much a happy, bubbly kid especially when she's with us. I am so, so glad that I make a decision to be a work at home mom (WAHM). There's so much wonderful progress as compared to when she's at the child care.

Yes, she was very clingy when I started become a WAHM, probably adjusting to me staying at home working. But now, knowing that she's with me all the time, she's much more independent and very, very happy.

I am way far from being a perfect WAHM. Sometime I feel guilty having to juggle work and her. And especially when works are over loaded, I do feel that I neglect her. But despite all that feelings, I am thankful that I get to see her 24/7, to know that she is alright. And I find it a treasure to greet her when she wakes up, get to bath her, comb her hair, and do all the little things for her.

Back when I was working in the office, I kept wondering how was she at school. How do they treat her? Is she happy? I am glad I don't have to go through that again. And I know she's so much happy now that she doesn't have to be away from mommy. I'm not saying that nursery/child care is bad. But unfortunately for us, we had some bad experience with it. And I guess I had enough.

Oh on the other note, now I will be fully operating my photography works under a new name, littlestori photography. Do check out our website! OMG I am very thrill about this. And from now on this will be very much a personal blog to me, with all the ramblings and other stuff. While all the official works will be shared at www.littlestori.com.
I will still do sneak peeks here though ;)

Some Progress and Beach Getaway

It's been a month since I last updated my blog! I really, really miss updating my blog but I'm just too busy setting up our new official blog cum website. And I tell you with my preggy condition, things get real slow!!!

Our new official blog is still on it's way... I hope I can get things done, if not by this weekend at least within these two weeks time. I wish I can speed every thing but now I really have to listen to my body and of course my lil' one inside. And the big sister Iffah who demands a quality time with mommy who now works at home ;p

Announcements:

1) Thank you for those who sent me your entries for the casting call, we're now in the final selection and you will get email from us InsyaAllah within this week. Sorry for not being able to reply to each and everyone earlier, but you will definitely get our reply soon :)

2) From now on, I won't be able to take all sessions due to my preggy condition. Hence sessions are only limited for babies who just started toddling and below, as well as maternity. And I'm giving discounts for these sessions, also because of my preggy condition :) Do contact me nearer ( a week or couple of days before your preferred date, if time and conditions permit we will head on for the session. I prefer not to take early bookings, again due to my preggy condition ;)

On a personal note, we took Iffah to the beach and would love to share with you some of her moments there :)

The Red Wall...

Remember the Red Wall sneak peek I had in Ocotober? Fewwwh... finally here are more collections from the serie :) Tough time again to choose which one I like. I love, love this serie so much - can't help it, I'm so addicted to Red Wall - I hope you would love them too. :) Just passed the rest of the pictures to my dear friend, Yan.

We had a our first session when Yan's daughter, Almas was still a baby, and look at her now! Isn't she the sweetest thing?
Oh btw that reminds me! I don't think I have their first session posted on this blog. Ok I shall do so then. And Aniq, as always the charming and cheeky little heart throb... oh no Yan your little fella definitely gonna be a heart breaker one day, he already stole mine!

This time around Yan wanted the collection for her Red Wall gallery. She already have black and white canvas prints on her wall from our previous session. And they look lovely! Had some pictures taken on them last week, and will definitely post it here ;)

I'm so excited to post this entry so let me speak less and let the pictures do the work :)

A Thank You Note | Casting Call

This is a special thank you note for those who have sent me entries for 'Our Little Story' casting call. I am really, really touched reading your little stories. Some are short, some are long but they all are extra special. And some of you even managed to make me shed my tears. Those love that you have for your little ones, they are so beautiful and so big that no word I use here can match the description.

Reading your stories make me feel even connected I hope I can capture those little stories of yours. Though there will only be one winner, I do hope I get to capture all other little stories that were sent to us.

I have also received more than one entry from a family. Though I did mention I accept only one entry from one family, I have given a second thought about it. Hey, more entries are even better! So each family get to tell more about what they are looking for in their family portrait. So why not, send as many entries as you want, it gives more chance for the winning as well ;)

Some of you may have not noticed that I have actually extended the closing date to November 27th. Yup, I realise that I made too short a notice for the entry, and many have told me they are still figuring out what to write, so the extended date ;) So no worries... those who are still thinking on the idea for your family portrait, take all your time we've got a few more weeks :)

A Portrait Session in Kuching, Sarawak

Another two weeks time, and it's time for holiday again! Yippee!!!
Us family we'll be going back to Kuching for Raya Haji. Can't wait to be home and I miss the beautiful places there, just perfect for taking pictures!!

So I thought why not have a portrait session in Kuching, since we've got some inquiries from our friends. Considering this is our holiday trip, and this is the first time we're opening a slot in Kuching, there will be no extra charges for transportations and accomodations, which means the rate will be the same as the ones in Klang Valley.

I'm thinking of having a session between 24th - 26th Nov. One slot, between the dates, or I guess the most two that I can take. I might consider other date if you're working on those days. Places that I have in mind is Kuching parks, they are breathtakingly beautiful! And of course Damai or Santubong beach! Or you may want to have it at the comfort of your home yard ;)

Update on Casting Call (Free Session)

Thanks for those who have responded to my casting call. Many have inquired on how to write their stories. Well, it’s all up to you actually. It can be as simple as a sentence, or it can be a short story if you want to. Just to give you some ideas, all these simple sentences are accepted:

“Kitorang suka sangat wall climbing and our 7 year old son is starting to like it too. We want you to capture us doing our activity together!

“My hubby suka main skateboard and now my daughter pun dah start suka. It would be nice to take pix of them together doing just that.”

"We family love horse riding. Höw about that?"

"Our little daughter loves swimming!"

So, no worries, write your little story (or you request actually) the way you want it ;)

Casting Call (FREE SESSION)!

Back in February this year, I’ve made a small step to quit from my job so that I get to pursue my passion in children’s photography. I wasn’t really letting go the job actually because I do still work, but on a part-time basis. Nonetheless, the small step I made opened more opportunities to meet new friends and their beautiful families, especially the little ones. It has been such a wonderful journey. And I realised it is about time that I make another little step.

This time I’m quitting for real. And the good news is I’m pursuing this dream of mine as a serious passion. Yippee! I have to admit I’m a bit nervous, but thrill I am about this new journey!

And there’s no better way to share my excitement than to share it with you. I wouldn’t have come this far without the support and encouragement I got all this while.

I have long waited for this, wanting to do it quite a while ago but just waiting for the right moment. And the time I guess has come.
I am going to make a casting call for a FAMILY PORTRAIT, or in other word a FREE SESSION. The idea is for you to tell a little story about your family, in particular about your little ones. Tell me a little story about your family that you hope to keep as a memorable, childhood treasure of your little ones. It could be just any little story, such as:

1) How close your little ones are as siblings, share me their stories, what they do together!
2) A story about a love of a mother
3) A hobby that you do as a family, gardening for example!
4) About your little one who just recently made his or her first step and now cutely toddling!
5) About how you treasure waking up on a Sunday morning with your little ones! And the things you do together - e.g. rolling with your little ones (still in the pyjamas!) on the fresh morning grass, splashing water on one another!
6) Etc, etc...

Surprise me with your stories, and what you hope me to capture. Or even more interesting, let say, if you hope for me to capture your family at your own home yard, you may want to send me a picture of your little home garden where you spend a splash time with your little ones! Tell me anything, what props you hope to bring on the session day; the theme for the session, etc! I very much do welcome creativity :)

Yes, I will only select one story for the free session; hence there will only be one winner. But the other good news is the 1st 20 entries will entitle them a 5 percent discount for their family portrait sessions with me. And the portrait session will be based on your little story, depending on suitability.

And this is also another way for me to thank my clients who have been dearly supporting me all this while. Hence my clients, who have had a session with me, and be among the 1st 20 entries will get a 10 percent discount for their family portrait session.

So, hurry send your entry now!

We have post-poned the free session date in December, hence the CLOSING DATE is extended to NOV 27th, 2009. More time for you to think of the idea for your family portrait :)

Finally, after quite a while, yesterday hubby and me managed to have a portrait session with our darling daughter, Nur Iffah. It was just the right time, though it was pretty late afternoon. Starting next weekeend mommy will be busy again with other sessions, so a quick 30-minute of the session was really something three of us were looking forward to! We had earlier promised for her own portrait session. Iffah and me was browsing through one of my fav photo blogs and there was this one picture that she liked so much, she told me she wanted to have a picture like that! I will post the picture - the one she posed just like a lil'girl in the blog - as well soon :)

This is the picture of her I like so much, she looks so chubby and sweet here :) And I love to see how her hair looks pretty long in this picture. Just like mine, her hair takes REALLY a long time to grow, and after three years finally Iffah has quite a pretty long hair now, yeay :)

And she's being very cheeky actually here. She was pretending she was listening to the music.

Awww... I just can't resist this little fella!

Isn't he such a charming little hero? Just look at his smiling eyes! His mom must be very proud of him... not only that Ammar Mikael is such a good-looking little guy but he is blessed with such a generous smile. His mom told me that no matter how tired or sleepy he is he won't stop smiling and entertaining his guests. Only when everybody goes home and the party is over that he will finally doze off to sleep. Awwww....

And wait until I put up his cheeky pose here!

Didn't I tell you? He's such a sweet and cheeky little guy! I can't wait for a session with him. These are the shots I took when I went for a Hari Raya Bersama SusuIbu.com organised by Nurturing Concepts Sdn Bhd. His mom said it will be just perfect when Ammar starts to walk. And that will be cute, watching him toddling! I'm counting the days now ;)

Guess what?! I'm already at my 5 months pregnancy. And it is such a wonderful feeling! Not only that I can feel baby is kickin' and movin inside of me, but I can tell there is also somersault activities going on inside! Second trimester is always the best time for most pregnant moms. No more nausea and your tummy is not really that heavy that they say this is the best time for us to start cleaning all the dust and preparing the room for our baby.

And for me this is also the best time to share my excitement with other pregnant moms out there. With a baby inside me, I'm very eager now to do maternity portraiture. I have so many ideas inside my head that I can't wait to share them with you mommies! I'm also inspired by a dear friend of mine, Siew Kay, who triggers me to do more maternity porttraiture. Thanks dear :)

To all preggy moms out there, email me dear if you're in the same boat with me! I wanna hear your stories!

And another thing that she misses is a fun time at the beach. We brought her for a beach retreat back in Kemaman - the best way to round up our raya hol!
Oh I miss Kemaman, a place that is very dear to me, with lots of childhood memories. I guess I'm one of the lucky girls for I grew up just by the sea side...... when I looked out from the house the first thing that I saw is the beautiful blue sea :) And we got to play with the sand and swim any time we wanted... of course after a green light from our dear parents! Morning walk by the beach was part of our weekly routine... oh I missed that so much... the only thing that we didn't really have much (barely) were pictures of that memories...

And that's why now every time we brought Iffah to the beach I'd make sure those memories are kept frozen... so one day not only that she will have a fond memory of that at the back of her head but also pictures that will keep her smile, giving her a vivid memory of her happy times at the beach :) She loves pantai and pasir so much!

Oh btw the sandy beach remind me of Incubus, the song remember?!

A picture of my darling girl I took sometime in June. Love the way my sis, Yani, post-processed this picture of my baby. I love, love watching her while she sleeps...

I haven't been taking much pictures of little Iffah lately. And if I do take pictures of her they are all piling up waiting for me to edit them, sigh... I do hope I can catch up later soon.

Been very tired lately, that everything is in a slow process right now. I find myself feeling very tired and weak - plus the nausea - especially after noon. So I tried to do as much work as I can in the morning, hence most of my editing process now is done in the morning. I must say a zillion thanks to my recent clients who have been very kind and patient waiting for their CDs. I really, really appreciate it... means a lot to me.

After a photography session, I will normally select a number of images that I will then edit. I take long hours to edit my pictures, hence I've been nagged many times by hubby not to spend too much time on editing. LOL! But how can I not do that? I just could not stop until I am satisfied with the picture. And they say you don't rush on art. I'd love to think every piece of the pictures that I edit as an art. They are all very special to me... and I love giving them a personal touch :)

I guess it's not fair to my clients if I take too many sessions with my condition right now. I have to limit my sessions until I feel much better. For those who have been asking for available sessions, I am no longer taking any slot for August since it's already quite full looking at my capability at the moment.

The good news is you may start booking your session for October onwards. I won't be taking much slots so do email me earlier to book your preferred date.

I will also be doing a casting call to try out new ideas, so do watch out this space to vie for a FREE session.

PS: For those who is wondering why I am pretty tired lately, little Iffah is going to have a sibling soon - early next year actually - InsyaAllah. Do pray for both baby and mommy ya!

The joy of...

This entry is specially dedicated to all mothers out there :)

One of the best things that I like about my job is being able to capture those beautiful moments of moms and their children. It touches my heart every time I see a candid moment like the picture above. This is a photo that I shot this morning, of Ewa and his beautiful son Eusoff. Pictures like this remind me again, and again the beauty and the joy of being a mother.

I'm thankful that I get to be a part of beautiful moments such as this - being behind the camera and freezing that moment in a picture - a moment that will be kept forever and hopefully tug the hearts of these beautiful families for generations.

I hope our children will get to keep that memorable pictures of them with their moms (dads too!) and that piece of memories will accompany them all through their growing years, reminding them how much they are loved by us their parents. And when come the hard times - especially when our children are away from us pursuing their dreams - these treasured memories will always be with our big little ones, keeping them strong.

Moms Supporting Moms Group

I had a wonderful time celebrating mother's day with moms from the 'Moms Supporting Moms Group'. It was wonderful to see other moms who love to breastfeed their children, love sling and love everything about natural parenting. And it was lovely to see their children who love being so attached with their moms! And not forgetting dads who were very supportive being there for their wives ;)

In this modern days, breastfeeding is no longer a natural thing to some mothers. And I was one of them. Alhamdulillah I got help from a lovely friend and mom herself, Rita and now I'm so proud to say that my child is a breastfed child. Even until now!

If you think that breastfeeding is a tough thing to do and it's a lonely world, wait no longer and do get help from the Support Group.

Till then, watch this space for there will be more picture update!

Suddenly I got all emotional uploading this picture of my baby...
My girl is turning three this Monday I can't believe my eyes she's growing so fast...
I'm gonna miss her being two years old,
and I miss those times when she was just a tiny little baby, and when she started to cooo, when she was so cute being 8-month old baby
And I still remember how hard it was for me to accept my baby being a toddler for I missed her babyhood,
yet how happy I was at the same time to see her grow, to see how cheeky and joyful she could be, and how independent she was
She stole my heart the moment I knew I was pregnant,
Those nine months was the longest time for I can't wait to see her, and touch her and hold her,
and when I finally get to see her I just couldn't describe the love so huge and tremendous it was the most beautiful feeling,
She is going three, time flies just so quickly
So much a big girl now wanting to do everything by herself, yet she's so much a baby at times and I love her for being that; my baby
She loves to hug and kiss her mommy and daddy now and then, and everytime we ask who she loves the most her answer stays the same, "Mommy and daddy, dua-dua, sama" oh that's the sweetest thing we couldn't ask for more
Mommy and daddy love you dear much and much the love just grow so big and it gets bigger and bigger every time,
She is our baby, and will alway be...

She's been stuck in the house for 5 days.
Couldn't take it anymore.
So on Saturday mommy and daddy brought her to the mall for a cake treat :)
Finally someone is back to her chirpy mood again!

And we had to sneak out from the neighbors.
Aunties next doors - left and right side - advised not to bring Iffah out. They said "The air outside is not good for her. Let her stay inside."
They didn't see us went out, but when we got back we bumped into one of them, huhuh. With confident we told her Iffah has recovered. Yup, indeed she is recovering. Alhamdulillah.

We didn't really want to believe the myth but just in case the air outside could actually get into her, we made sure Iffah was covered head to toes, hence the hat and long sleeves. And our baby also insisted on wearing her yellow shades... to protect her eyes she said, LOL.

Beach Retreat & Chickenpox

Our poor baby is down with chicken pox... only after our beach retreat last Sunday. Iffah had been insisting us on going to the beach, and we just couldn't resist ;)

We Went to the Zoo!

Iffah wanted so much to go to the zoo. So we went last Sunday. It was her second visit. She was still small the first time we went.
On the day, our little darling was SO surprised to see how big the giraffes and elephants are that she didn't want to come near them. LOL. All this while she saw them in books and TV, probably their real sizes were not to her anticipation! And the fact that Iffah was a bit sleepy... and dreamy perhaps those animals might have looked GIGANTIC to her eyes.

The pictures above was her staying near to the lake where all the flamingos were. She loved them! And mommy loved taking pictures of her, again and again!

After much picture taking, then she was okay to look at those giraffes and elephants, BUT only from far ;)

Nonetheless, after almost two hours touring the zoo, Iffah indeed hava had fun.
She loved all the animals, yeah she did! As long as they won't come near her, LOL.

And she said she wanted to go there again, this time with her favourite cousin Kak Yaya.

So where's the animal?

What do I plan to do?
I want to enjoy the beautiful sky at night, gazing at the stars!

Eart Hour really reminds me of three things:

1)I loved looking at the beautiful night sky back in my hometown. I lived by the sea and the sky is just so magestic at night!

2) I used to climb mountains back in my university years. The thing I won't miss when I was on top of the world was the night sky!

3) Shooting stars! Loads of them! Yes in Malaysia. Back during my university years in Penang. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!

Imagine if everyone takes the pledge to turn off the light it will be a beautiful time to enjoy the night sky for there will be no artificial light to get in our way. More importantly we're voting for earth NOT global warming.

Remember, switching light off on the day is your vote for earth. Your vote is very significant. The target is 1 billion votes. If the target is reached, WWF will present our voice to the world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.

"This meeting will determine official government policies to take action against global warming, which will replace the Kyoto Protocol. It is the chance for the people of the world to make their voice heard," Earth Hour.

Let our children sleep soundly and be assured of a beautiful tommorrow.

Iffah and her Red Wall

Last Monday we went for a quick portrait session at our daughter's favourite Red Wall. I asked her a few days ealier where would she like to have her portrait session this time around. I even suggested a place for us to go. Yet, like usual, her answer was "Red Wall."

Don't be surprise not only that it has the red background at our favourite Red Wall. You''ll get blue, yellow, grey wall and even green surrounding there. Hahah but this time no yellow or grey to be seen in the pictures. Tak sempat. We needed to head to the city afterwards.

Back home, after going through all her pictures, Iffah told me to print only the blue background. No more red she said. It's a lot already. LOL probably this time she had enough of her Red Wall.

The night before she went to sleep hugging her new book. So I thought it would be lovely to have a picture of her hugging the book. She liked the idea! And I like it in vintage ;)

And this is her idea; to pose like this with her new favourite book ;)

Me and Iffah had a fun time that I forgot it isn't environmentally friendly to pluck so many flowers. My hubby reminded us later on, "don't forget the butterflies need them too." Huhuh, I have to be more thoughtful the next time ;) We got to teach our kids to love the nature in the right way! Hehe one or two probably still be okay right hubby?

My long awaiting dream to capture a newborn girl finally came true. I wanted to update my newborn profile and I was so happy when my friend, Anis answered my call.

I have to admit photographing a newborn is not an easy one. But the joy of being able to photograph that sweet innocent little person is too incredible to describe into words. There's a miracle in them that fills our world with so much happiness and beauty.

And I was so overwhelmed when I got the chance to photograph my friend's daughter, little sweet Annisa.

Here are some of my favourites of her ;)

While I was busy photographing little Annisa inside, her big brother Amar was busy 'washing' his atok's car outside.
So when baby Annisa needed a time for her mommy's milk, I quickly went outside with his big sister Ainur to join the fun. I was too excited that i forgot to change my ISO setting that was set for indoor lighting, LOL. Hence the pictures came out a bit over exposed.

And the more fun is when little Amar started to spray water at us!

Back in the house, Amar wouldn't want to miss the change to be in the picture. And this is so much a candid of him doing an interframe, LOL!

Actually I have had two photo sessions for baby Annisa. Reason being apart from updating my profile I'm also having her pictures for a project, which I could not reveal now ;)

I have few pictures that I wanted to post here but it won't be that thrill if I post all my favourite pictures for the project here. So I guess at the moment let's have this one first ;)

When my Iffah was born, I was so overjoyed that I could not describe the feelings that I have for her. I wanted to dedicate every love song that I listen to my dear little angel, especially when I'm at work or in the car, away from my 'buah hati.'

It really brought back the memory when I look at this picture of Anis and her little angel, Annisa.

Alhamdulillah, after almost two weeks with a pc problem I'm back to work.
The problem has been resolved :)

It was such a busy weekend last week. Come weekdays Iffah was down with fever. It's probbaly the hot sunny days and the hectic schedule. She hasn't been sick for quite a long time... poor my baby. I hope that she'll get well soon, ameen.

We were suppose to have our own family portrait session this weekend. Finally mommy get to be in the picture, LOL. Looks like my dream to have our own family portrait has to wait. There's always next time though. The most important is our darling's health.

I didn't get to do much this week. Lot of things had to be postponed. And I've been delaying posting pictures that me and hubby shot for my friend, Adi and his girlfriend Juita last weekend.

So for Juita and Adi, do enjoy some of the sneak peek here. You guys were great. I just hope that I'm up to the standard for the energy and superb co-operation that you gave. In other word you two were SPLENDID.

Finally, I'm stepping up - after much uncertainties and delays, LOL.
Officially I'm resigning from my full-time job. And my employer has agreed that starting from now I work on a freelance basis.
Meaning more time to pursue my dream. Yes. Yes.
Wohooo it's time to gearing up myself to be the next contemporary children's photographer. LOL It sounds cool to me ;)
And yeayyyy!!!!
From now on I'll get to see kids and more kids hence more sun shiny days ahead ;)

I'll be away for a short trip but once I'm back there will definitely be more postings here ;)

I couldn't believe how time flies. Another five months from now, my baby Iffah will be three. These pictures were taken last month, back in my home town. It was a lazy afternoon and a perfect time for her monthly portrait session.

When hubby told me his colleague wanted to have a session for their newborn I was more than overjoyed. So long I waited for this.

The day came. Hubby and me went to Seremban to photograph little Nazif. I was so relief to see the available light right from the window. Hubby directed most of the shots, while I was busy getting the right exposures. We both took turned for the shots. Oh boy it was not easy to get the right angles.

Nazif was four days old on the day. He slept through most of the time. Words could not describe the feelings I had for having the chance to photograph this little angel... that delightful scent and his soft tender skin. It brought me back to the day my baby was born...

I'm a fan of little, tiny feet :)

Ok. Let's start with this re-entry. A session we had with Balqis and her family months back.

We had a blast photographing this lil' darling. She was a bit hesitant at first, so we tried to make ourselves oblivious and let Balqis had a goofy time with her family.

LOL! For all we know she started showing the adorable and fun side of her...

This is my favourite post-processed b&w pictures of Balqis. I just love her sweet smile!

This girl knows exactly how to have fun with mommy and daddy. Isn't she a darling?

The first thing that caught my eyes when I met Balqis was her pair of gorgeous big eyes. And just look at her eye lashes!

I'm doing a re-entry and this one is specially for Melissa and her family. About a month after our portrait session, Melissa delivered me a good news. The arrival of their newborn baby girl, Asha. Dearest Melissa, heartiest congratulations to you and family :)

The portrait session that we had was for Marcus, Melissa's eldest son.

This is my favourite portrait shot of Marcus, and I just can't choose the post-processing that I like the most between the two, so let's just have both of them!

Boys will always be boys. They love to run here and there, and they just never stop. I'm glad that I had taken the above portrait even before we started to warm-up. At the time he was still assessing the place, me and the camera! And that's when I got the chance ;)

But right after, there was no way for me to sit still for he was so full of actions! Marcus was very curious and there's always something and somewhere for him to search for, run to and wander around.

And oh boy look how handsome he is here! Watch his eye contact. The left picture below tells that he's going on a heroic mission, and the right one says that he's done it, successfully!

I just love the fact that while this little guy is busy in actions, he's also very generous to give me a glance. A precious gift for someone who's behind the camera :)

I forgot to tell you that Marcus was just about 19 months at the time this session was taken place. He's so young yet he's got such a talent! He's kicking like a pro!

Guess what's stopping this little guy from being in actions? Fast machine. When ever there's a boat, bike or even a lorry passing by, Marcus will immediately stop and watch in awe (Hehe, now you wonder where is this place.)

And I guess his number one favourite is the airplane. Look at how amuse he is! And how can I resist that glance?

Father and son moments...

All through the session that I had with this beautiful family, I can feel the abundant love his parents have for Marcus. And it's amazing to see how aware Marcus is of the love they have for him.

This picture was taken last weekend. A portrait session I had with Marlini and her beautiful kids, Aleeya and Khalish. One of the best things about childhood photography is documenting the family relationship. The love is just so big and contagious. Best said it's empowering! And this picture just melt my heart. Look at the proud look on Khalish, as if he's telling me,
"See I've got a very gorgeous sister and she's loving me lots."

These kids will grow up and this picture will accompany them telling how much love they have for each other. And I guess this is the beauty of childhood photography.

As happy as she is, our lil' darling sometimes likes to hold it back in front of other people. Look at her face! She's meeting Syuen for the second time, and is so thrill about it. Yet she tries very hard no to show it! LOL! The first time they met was last December. Me and Syuen's mommy were best of friends back in university time. And here we are again in Penang with our daughters!!!

Hi! I'm so happy and thrill that you dropped by :)

My name is Milin and I love, love taking pictures of children. It all began when my darling daughter, Nur Iffah, was born.

Photographing children is like an energy booster to me. If I'm feeling blue or unmotivated, my energy level will shoot up once I'm out and about clicking images of them. They really make my day!!! Children are so amazing and I can never get enough of them!

Most of the time, I shoot using natural light, and that's why I love outdoor locations so much!

I usually went for a shooting adventure with my hubby. And he's also my photo director, LOL!

It's my dream to capture beautiful and memorable moments of you and your family, and hope it will be something that you get to treasure one day. So do stay tune on my journey to hone my photography skills and with a bit of luck get to document your pictures the way you dream them ;)
